Andrea
Andrea Zamora,

born and raised in Oxnard, graduated from CSU Northridge in 2020 with a double-major in Psychology and Chicano Studies. She joined the UBCI team in 2019 first as a tutor and then quickly grew to become the center’s second director in 2022. Inspired by the UBCI students, she returned to her alma mater and continued her education. Come May 2026, she will receive her Masters degree with distinction in Diverse Community Development Leadership. She looks forward to applying strategies and research to sustain and grow the impact LNESC Oxnard has on high school students in South Oxnard.

Arleen Morales,

born and raised in Oxnard and is a proud first-generation college graduate. She began her higher education journey at Oxnard College, where she earned an Associate of Arts in Sociology, before transferring to Cal State University Northridge and earning a bachelor's in Chicana/o Studies. Having navigated the college process as a first-generation student herself, she understands the importance of access, mentorship, and educational support. She joined LNESC Oxnard in 2018 as a tutor and has since advanced to her current role as Program Coordinator. She remains committed to helping students achieve their academic, personal, and career goals by providing guidance, support, and opportunities that empower them to reach their full potential and pursue higher education with confidence.

Hannah Dalton,

an Oxnard Native proudly serving students at her alma mater, Channel Islands High. She earned her B.S. Health Science from CSU Channel Islands in 2020. She joined the Upward Bound Channel Islands Team in 2022 as a STEM tutor and grew to become the program’s Administrative Assistant. She is committed to serving the youth of South/East Oxnard, supporting access to higher education and assisting students in achieving their academic dreams.

Reigna Rondares,

born in the Philippines and raised in Oxnard, graduated from CSU Channel Islands in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Health Science. She joined the team in 2023 as a STEM and English Tutor and continues to serve in this role. As a graduate of the school, she is proud to return to her alma mater and work alongside her former teachers, now colleagues, to support students in reaching their full potential.

Antonio Medina,

born and raised in Oxnard and graduated from Channel Islands High School in 2015. Went to Oxnard College and then transferred to UCSB and graduated in 2022. He joined the UBCI team in summer 2024 and has been with the team since then as a STEM and Spanish tutor. He looks forward to helping out students from his community and giving back to the community as much as he can.
